José Gourmet's tuna is caught on both sides of the Atlantic and in the south-east Pacific, then packed as proper fillets in olive oil. You open the tin and get firm pieces that hold together on the fork, not the mushy flakes you might be used to.

It's high in protein, so it's a good one to keep in the cupboard for easy lunches. The real reason to buy it, though, is that it makes supermarket tuna very hard to go back to. Toss it through a niçoise salad, stir it into spaghetti with lemon zest and chilli, or just eat it on a cracker with a bit of the oil spooned over.
