Introducing

Tsunehisa

Tsunehisa is a collaborative brand of makers from Sakai, Tosa, and other famous knifemaking regions of Japan. These knives draw on the expertise of each region in relation to their particular steel types. For example Tosa is known for their spectacular Ginsan, Sakai with carbon steels. The Tsunehisa brand represents exceptional value for money with fantastic fit and finish paired with the best knifemaking steels Japan has to offer.

Blade Type

The Bunka is a small prep slayer! It has a flat belly for push cutting, and can take care of smaller, finer tasks. Perfect for small cuts of meat and veg.

Steel Type

Blue Steel is a traditional, high-carbon steel made by Hitachi Metals in Japan. It is the favourite steel of many knife makers and chefs across the world for it’s fantastic edge holding ability, toughness, and ease of sharpening. It contains few stainless elements, and as such will develop a patina, and may develop rust spots if left wet after use.

Awesome Knives Service and helpful team!!

I ordered some knives on a Sunday and was quite surprised that they arrived on the Thursday Morning!! from across the country mind you. One is a gift for a close friend of my Wife and mine. I have ordered other knives already from ChefsEdge and even when I was in Tokyo and needed several days to even pick them up. Great service and awesome Japanese steel
