Introducing

Takeda Hamono

Not much needs to be said that the lovers of Takeda Hamono don't know already. Legendary Blacksmith Shosui Takeda works with a small team in Niimi, Japan to craft his masterpieces. Their striking appearance is instantly recognisable, big, tall kurouchi blades, with a very low grind, super light weight, and exceptional performance that have now taken on a cult status among knife lovers around the world.

Blade Type

The Honesuki is the single or double bevel knife for breaking down poultry. Its thick blade and angled tip allow for heavy duty tasks and also precise work.

Steel Type

Blue Steel is a traditional, high-carbon steel made by Hitachi Metals in Japan. It is the favourite steel of many knife makers and chefs across the world for it’s fantastic edge holding ability, toughness, and ease of sharpening. It contains few stainless elements, and as such will develop a patina, and may develop rust spots if left wet after use.
